Richard S. Prather
Richard S. Prather is the author of the Shell Scott detective series. As well as writing under his own name he has also produced work under the pseudonyms of David Knight and Douglas Ring. He was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Private Eye Writers of America in 1986.
Shell Scott is a PI with a broad sense of humour. He doesn't take himself too seriously and works out of downtown Los Angeles. Shell Scott deals with all manner of criminal investigations from the small burglaries to missing persons and murder.
