Manhunt Magazine
Manhunt Magazine was the premier crime fiction pulp magazine in the 1950s. It began life as Manhunt Detective Story Monthly before shortening the name to simply Manhunt. The magazine was published for 15 years and in all 114 issues were released.
Manhunt was a little different its earlier peers in that unlike those pulps it was published in digest format. Also, the magazine was first published quite late in the pulp fiction era in the 1950s but the quality of the authors who contributed ensured its success for quite a few years. Notable post-war authors such as Lawrence Block, Mickey Spillane, Ed McBain and Donald Westlake all contributed short stoires to Manhunt Magazine.
Tracking down and buying copies of Manhunt Magazine will ensure that you are picking up stories by some of the finest authors from the 1950s.
